Commuter Options Program
The UMass Commuter Options Program will help you get to campus and better
understand your commute options. Mixing up your trips by using public transit,
bicycling, walking, capooling or vanpool help reduce the number of times you'll
need to drive alone--which saves you money. Award-winning parking and public
transit options balance convenience with flexability.
The UMass Parking & Transit Services are committed to providing transportation
alternatives for the members of the campus community. Check out the available options
that encourage you to leave your car at home and use more environmentally friendly
methods to get onto campus.
UMass encourages student, faculty and staff to use an alternate mode of transportation
as often as possible. Alternative Transportation promotes and encourages the use of a variety
of modes of transportation (e.g. bicycling, walking, vanpooling, carpooling, riding transit)
to get to, from and around campus instead of a single occupancy vehicle. We can all make a
difference in improving our air quality!
The Commuter Options Program office is located at Parking Services, 51 Forestry Way,
Amherst, MA 01003. Business hours are 7:45am to 4:45pm., Monday-Friday. For more information,
