Our goal is to provide safe, orderly, and fair parking for employees, students, and visitors to our campus. We strive to make parking on campus as convenient as possible, while promoting safe movement of vehicles, providing for pedestrian safety, and assuring free and continuous access to buildings and walkways for pedestrians and emergency vehicles.

We encourage you to take advantage of services provided to reduce the number of vehicles being parked on campus. Parking Services offers Carpool and Occasional Parker permits, while Transit Services provides extensive, free bus services.

  • Lot 25, 41, 67 Commencement Parking Info

    To Lot 25, 41, 67 Permit Holders:

    On Friday May 8th, 2015 through Saturday May 9th, 2015 the campus will celebrate multiple commencement ceremonies. We anticipate that your parking lot will be affected, so if you need to park in an alternate parking lot on those days, the following lots are available.

    Green Lot 25, Red Lot 41 and Red Lot 67 Permit Holders may utilize:

    Red Lot 45 Red Lot 68
    Blue Lot 31 Blue Lot 32 Green Lot 26 Green Lot 34 Yellow Lot 12

  • Lot 62 French Hall section construction

    To: Red Lot 62 Permit Holders

    Parking Services has been informed that the final stage of construction is scheduled for the Red 62 French Lot. The French section of 62 is the newest section built on the land that used to house the French Hall Greenhouses. This work will temporarily close the section of the lot from Monday, May 11, 2015 through Friday, May 15, 2015. The main section of Red Lot 62, across from the Hills Building, will remain open for the week.

    Alternate parking is available in the other (older) section of Red Lot 62, or Blue Lot 46, or Purple Lot 49. Please refer to the map on the Parking Services website if you need assistance with locating these alternate lots. http://parking.umass.edu/

  • Lot 11 Commencement Parking

    To: Yellow Lot 11 Permit Holders


    On Friday May 8th, 2015 through Saturday May 9th, 2015 the campus will celebrate multiple Undergraduate Commencement ceremonies. To accommodate visiting friends and family, we are asking Yellow Lot 11 permit holders to relocate your vehicle as soon as possible to any of the following lots:

    Yellow Lots 12 and 13.

  • Lot 22 Commencement Parking

    Purple Lot 22 Permit Holders:

    On Friday May 8th, 2015 through Saturday May 9, 2015 the campus will celebrate multiple Undergraduate Commencement ceremonies. To accommodate special needs parking, we are asking Purple Lot 22 permit holders to relocate your vehicle as soon as possible to any of the following lots:

    Yellow Lots 12, Green Lots 33 and 25.

    Please do not park in Yellow lot 11 as it is also being used for commencement activities.

    All vehicles should be out of Purple Lot 22 no later than noon on Thursday, May 7th, 2015.

    Please see the maps on the Parking www to locate your alternative parking lots.

    April 30, 2015

    Dear Lot 47 Permit Holder,

    Please relocate your vehicle to Purple Lot 44 on Thursday May 7, 2015. We anticipate high levels of traffic on campus from 8am to 5pm. You should expect delays accessing campus due to the high level of vehicular activity on this date.

  • Lot 50 Commencement Parking

    April 30, 2015

    Dear Lot 50 Permit Holder,

    Please relocate your vehicle to Blue Lot 32 or 21 on Thursday May 7, 2015. We anticipate high levels of traffic on campus from 8am to 5pm. You should expect delays accessing campus due to the high level of vehicular activity on this date.

  • Robsham Visitors Center Construction

    Please be advised, the Robsham Visitors Center parking lot will undergo construction of a Solar Canopy beginning on Monday, May 11th, 2015. The section highlighted on the map below will be closed for the duration of the project. The back row (southern) of parking will be available for use.

    Alternate parking for visitors is available at other pay facilities, meters and/or the Campus Center Parking Garage. Visitor permits may be purchased at either parking office location.

  • Parking Permit Renewals

    Renewal period for the 2015-2016 permit year has begun. Permits are available on a first come first serve basis and popular proximate lots fill up fast. Renew online at http://parking.umass.edu/

    The renewal period ends on May 22, 2015. After this date, permit sales will become available to all eligible non-permit holders for any unsold or unrenewed space.

    Due to specific permit requirements the following permit types must be renewed at Parking Services:

    Retiree/Emeritus

    Permits will be mailed in early August 2015 to the address you have provided.

    Graduate Employee Organization (GEO) student permits will be held at Parking Services, 51 Forestry Way. Photo ID and a current contract are required at time of permit pickup. Without an Assistantship contract, the GEO rate will not apply and the balance due must be paid at the time of permit pickup.

    May 4, 2015 to May 7, 2015

    Students who HOLD a current year long permit, may park in green lot (25, 26 or 33), yellow lot (11, 12 or 13), or purple lot (22, 44 or 49) DURING EXAM TIME ONLY

    Students who DO NOT hold a current year long permit may park in yellow lot (11, 12 or 13) DURING EXAM TIME ONLY

    PLEASE NOTE: GREEN LOTS 27 AND 34 ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO PARK IN DURING EXAM TIME UNLESS YOU HAVE A VALID PARKING PERMIT FOR THAT LOT.

  • Lot 62 Construction Delays

    Lot 62 Construction Delays

    Parking Services has been informed that the construction scheduled to begin in early April on Lot 62 has been delayed until Friday, May 8th, 2015.

    If you are one of the permit holders that has been displaced out of Lot 62 please visit the office to receive a temporary permit that will allow you to park in Lot 62 until construction begins
